As a Church of England School we aim to serve the community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promote Christian values through the experience we offer to all our pupils.
We at St Peter’s Church of England School, value the principles of the Christian way of life and as such are implicit in all we do. Collective Worship is very much a part of school life and usually takes place every day. On Fridays we join together for a special celebration of worship where we share the work children have produced during the week.
Our Christian values underpin our ethos and are embedded in ‘The Four C’s’. Consideration, Compassion, Common Sense and Courtesy. Every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Every member of our school community is encouraged to respect and value each other.
Children as They Live
If a child lives with criticism
He learns to condemn
If a child lives with hostility
He learns to fight
If a child lives with ridicule
He learns to be shy
If a child lives with shame
He learns to feel guilty
If a child lives with tolerance
He learns to be patient
If a child lives with encouragement
He learns confidence
If a child lives with fairness
He learns justice
If a child lives with security
He learns to have faith
If a child lives with approval
He learns to like himself
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship
He learns to give love in the world
